The Poisoned Apple card would benefit a control-oriented deck that focuses on exerting opponent's characters to disrupt their strategy. However, there are potentially better cards like Sleep Spell that can also exert characters but do so more efficiently. While Poisoned Apple can have its uses in certain matchups, it may not be a top choice for competitive play unless the meta heavily favors exert effects.
