Un mazo de control se beneficiaría del uso de Negate en Magic: the Gathering, ya que proporciona una forma económica y eficiente de contrarrestar hechizos que no son de criaturas. Si bien Negate es una opción sólida para contrarrestar hechizos clave, existen mejores alternativas como Mana Leak o Force of Will que ofrecen más versatilidad o beneficios adicionales.
